What kind of church is New Hope Christian Fellowship?

Our view on eternal security is if you are truely saved you are forever saved.  This does not mean that a person is free to live in a sinful and unbiblical fashion.  With out holiness no man will see the Lord.  Holiness is a byproduct of a true relationship with God.  The Holy Spirit will lead us into a progressive walk of Holiness as we grow in the Lord.  We also believe in baptism in the Holy Ghost and that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for the christian today.  The gifts did not pass away in any fashion.  We do not desire to argue these matters and separate christian fellowship, but to suport other believers and help build the Kingdom of God.

We feel that we as Christians must strive for unity.  This requires that we agree on the essentials of the christian faith, agree to disagree on the non-essentials, and strive to have love in all else.  Our time on earth is limited and we see our selves more as Christians than a particular denomination.  When people die, if they go up all tags fall off and if they go down all tags burn off.  So even though we believe in eternal security through Jesus Christ as well as the present day manifistation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit we choose to be simply Christians. 

When people read the name of your church it should speak to them concerning the purpose of your church and give them an idea of what they can expect there.  We feel that our name fits with the purpose for God placeing us in Ponca City.  We are a church that believes that Jesus gives true hope for broken shattered lives, and real healing is found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ.  If you visit us you will not find a perfect church.  You will find people seeking to walk with the Lord.  Reaching out to the lost and hurting and striving to love and care for each other.  I hope someday you visit us.

Trip to Kenya Africa set for October 2008

October 2 I will be leaving America headed for Kenya Africa.  It will be a glorious time as I will be traveling with the Bishop of Pentecostal Faith Assemblies, Scottie Jackson. We are looking forward to encouraging the brothers and sisters there.  This year has been a very difficult year for Kenya due to political trouble and violance.  I am looking forward to seeing my very good friend Pastor Charles Magaga and his wonderful family and church.  While we are there we will be ordaining Pastor Magaga and Sister Phanis as they join Pentecostal Faith Assembilies.  Please keep this trip in your prayers that the Hand of the Lord will be upon it and that the Lord will due great things.  With out Him we can do nothing and only the things of God are the things that will last.  I am looking forward to giving you a good report and photos when i return.  Thank you to those who gave and made this trip possible.  With out you we could not do what the Lord calls us to do.  Thank You.

Potluck Last Sunday of each month.

On the last Sunday morning of each month we have our Bring a friend potluck dinner. This is a time to bring a friend or family member and your favorite dish to the morning service and then enjoy a great time of fellowship afterward.
